Introduction
JSS STEP Noida has introduced real-world experiential learning for early-stage startups to showcase their skills by building a technology venture with an experienced industry coach/ mentor on two tracks:
- Technology Development
- Leadership Development
This is a Sector-Specific program for Tech-enabled startups. Each cohort size is restricted to a maximum of 05 mentees per mentor
Gain confidence and valuable skills as you participate in a Mentor led experiential learning group. The key takeaways of this program include:
Mentees will participate in live NPD (New Product Development) sessions in exclusive tech zones allocated to their mentors;
Mentees will receive industry and real stakeholders contacts for market research and tech validation;
Mentees will receive access to the JSS STEP venture Bootcamp to learn about entrepreneurial business skills;
Mentees will receive pre-seed funding (upto INR 10 Lakhs) from JSS STEP Noida and its network to develop a working prototype under the guidance of their mentors;
Mentees will develop a business plan and techno-commercial feasibility plan with their mentors;
Mentees will pitch before the JSS STEP investment committee for seed funding and receive coinvestment opportunities from early-stage angel funds.
Mentees will sign SHA with JSS STEP Noida and their mentors to allocate 5-7% of the equity in lieu of seed funding (30 – 50 Lakhs) and mentoring.
Mentees will have to be incubated at JSS STEP for at least a period of 06 months, develop a productmarket fit, and acquire early market traction before applying for seed funding.
The duration of this program is a maximum of 24 months.
