JSSATE-STEP Noida in association with the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India has initiated a project SKILLS – “Skills & Knowledge for Improved Livelihood and Standards”, supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). SKILLS ( Skills and Knowledge for Improved Livelihoods and Living Standards) is a programme aimed at promoting employment (self employment or wage based) for low resource communities through the application of Science and Technology. SKILLS ACADEMY focuses on employment oriented programmes that provide opportunities to unemployed and working individuals to acquire the skills they need to obtain employment as skilled workforce. It is located in the JSSATE campus at Noida which is a part of the National Capital Territory (NCT) and also is one of the largest planned industrial townships of Asia. SKILLS ACADEMY endeavors to meet the demand of trained professionals as well as to contribute to the industrial development of the region. To achieve this, it has initiated training programmes on entrepreneurship development and skills up gradation.
